Petr Pavel already last summer presented a list of 21 sponsors from among Czech entrepreneurs and philanthropists. They later sent him donations in the order of hundreds of thousands of crowns for the presidential campaign, with which they helped his campaign alongside thousands of small donors. Some of them are now helping the president-elect cover the costs of running his team until March 9.
One of them is the founder of the Livesport platform Martin Hájek. “As a natural person, I have decided to support General Pavel with an amount in the order of hundreds of thousands of crowns in the period until he takes over the office, because until then the law does not remember the financing of his work agenda,” he told Seznam Zprávám through his spokesperson.
